CSIR NET exam notifications are released twice a year, in June and December. CSIR NET is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) to select candidates for Junior Research Fellowship and other fellowship and internship opportunities under different scientific councils in the country.
CSIR NET Exam
CSIR NET is a national-level entrance examination conducted by CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) to select the candidates for research projects.
The exam is conducted in two phases:
Phase 1:
This phase consists of multiple-choice objective questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The duration of this phase is 3 hours.
Phase 2:
It consists of subjective-type questions in Biology and Computer Science. The duration of this phase is 3 hours.
CSIR NET Exam is a national-level exam in India. It is conducted by CSIR-National Eligibility Test (CSIR-NET) for recruitment to Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship. There are three phases in the question paper, namely section A, section B, and section C.

CSIR NET Eligibility:
A first-time applicant to any of the Senior Research Fellowship courses or Junior Research Fellowship Programmes (as per the UGC List of SRF/ JRF Courses) is eligible to appear in the CSIR UGC NET Exam.
